This is a picture I did in Art II last year. I did it in Prismacolor colored pencils. The style of art is called a broken space. The technique was blending, basically.
The bottom left corner is screwed up because I accidentally ripped it when removing it from the paper frame board thingy. That sucked like crap because I really loved this work.
But yeah. It's called 'Fire' for a reason. I added 'A Mother's Love' to be less vague, in case I upload something else with fire or something...yeah...

Thanks. I do too. Love the colors, that is. It has all the colors except green, which could either be warm or cool, depending on a bunch of stuff. The contrast between the background and the giraffes creates an effect that I really like.

It's a shading technique we learned in Art 2 last year. I pressed down pretty hard, which produced the vibrant, shiny colors.
The picture was good enough that even my rotten digital camera (which I have no idea how to work; my mom takes the pictures) can't mess up.

The technique is awesome. My teacher taught me how. If you could've seen some of the other people's works, there difference is astounding. I pressed down hard, which helped to blend and make it vivid. Otherwise it would look washed out and pale.
